Sunset Park is home to over 120,000 residents — one of Brooklyn's most densely populated neighborhoods. With thousands of dog-owning families in the community, there is not a single designated off-leash area in Sunset Park.

Neighboring Brooklyn neighborhoods — Park Slope, Bay Ridge, Prospect Heights — all have dog runs. Our community deserves the same.

What We're Asking For

  • A fenced off-leash area on the eastern lawn of Sunset Park (41st–44th St)
  • Separate zones for large and small dogs
  • Waste stations, seating, and a water fountain
  • Safe double-gated entry for all users
